'We are overwhelmed with emotion and so thankful'

Minot, North Dakota:

Today, our 7 year old son Nole' came home from school proudly carrying a jar filled with change and dollars...and a big red bow on top of the lid.  I asked him where he got this and he exclaimed, "Wedar!"

Nole' is a special little boy who happens to have Down syndrome. After some investigation, we found out who blessed us with a jar of change...the Wedar Family. Mrs. Melissa Wedar was our children's Kindergarten teacher.

Why us? Mrs. Wedar, her husband, and two sets of twins collected money to help us bring home an orphan named Simon who is five years old and is currently waiting for us to adopt him and bring him home in 2015. Their family chose to bless us by giving us their Christmas jar to help us with our adoption costs. We are overwhelmed with emotion and so thankful to the Wedar family for giving us this special gift this Christmas. Next year, we will pay it forward and bless an adopting family with their very own Christmas Jar! Thank you, The Burckhards
