I have been saving state quarters for ages, for no particular reason, just because they were different.  Then I read "The Christmas Jar" and decided that was the reason!  I filled the jar, and gave it to a neighbor.

Her son later told me that "we found a jar full of quarters on the front porch and it was enough to pay our light bill and the gas bill!"  Now we can put up our tree!

I've already started a jar for next year!
