'My kids put the jar on her front step'

I work with a young woman who is having very serious medical problems, had surgery and was going to be out of work for a while right at christmas time. We had read the Christmas Jar book 3 weeks before the holiday and put as much money in the jar as we could. My kids put the jar on her front step. It was a great experience! This is what christmas is all about! We have already started our jar for next year.
