We gave our first Christmas Jar to a neighbor this year. We had been saving our change all year for another purpose of our own, but when we heard about this, we decided our own needs were nothing compared to those of our neighbor, a single mother with a 12-year-old son. We put it in one of two tubs filled with groceries and had a third box filled with gifts for the two of them. That same day, we started filling our jar again for next year.
