Christmas Jar Story: 'We were not prepared for the financial burden'

Fort Collins, Colorado:

Last night my husband found a jar full of change in our front porch. I didn't know anything about Christmas jars but this has touch my heart so much that I am sure we will be filling a jar for somebody next Christmas.

When I was pregnant and we found out about or baby's condition, the pediatric surgeon told us that we should be prepared to be many weeks to months at the NICU. However we were not prepared for the financial burden that came along with thousands of dollars in hospital and doctors bills. Needless to say, we are very grateful for our anonymous Christmas jar donor.
