Christmas Jar Story: 'We decided to try collecting change'

My husband and I both read "The Christmas Jar" early this year and decided to try collecting change... we filled two jars, and recently dropped them both off (secretly) to a family who lives nearby... the father of two teenage children, was diagnosed with Lou Gerhrig disease about five years ago... our heart goes out to his wife and children... we thought the jars would be a perfect way to let them know that they have friends who care.
