Christmas Jar Story: 'My heart was pumping with excitement'

This is our second year of giving a Christmas jar and it was twice the size of last year's. I was sent a newspaper clipping about a young military family whose 2nd daughter was born with heart problems and was awaiting a heart transplant. As I read the article I discovered that the Mom is a former neighbor of ours - we watched her grow up! Not knowing how to reach her I put the jar and a copy of your book on the hood of her parents' car with a card saying it was for Katie & her family - this was done in broad daylight and to my knowledge no one saw me do it! My heart was pumping with excitement.

We have already started on next year's jar :-)
